In 2008 the brewery Baladin launches the first Italian beer “Open” the recipe for which is published on the web to allow all homebrewer to produce at home the clone of this beer with the All Grain method. The idea of the revolutionary project “Open Baladin” revolves around the sharing: from recipes posted to the spread of new distribution channels aims to weave experiences brewers from around the world. A collaboration between Mr. Malt and Baladin born three new beerkit who interpret the recipes of the Open Baladin … and the dream of many homebrewer comes true! Water, malt, hops and yeast. That’s it! Why? It took a simple beer to express a simple project. And it took an innovative beer to express an innovative project. This is how OPEN GOLD was created: a beer with a “strong” personality, and at the same time delicately captivating. And this is how this beer – the first “open source” beer in Italy – has slowly captured the hearts (and especially the throats…) of those who enjoy good, healthy and informed drinking. It has a deep golden color and a thick and creamy head. The scent is characterized by the citrusy aromas of American hops.
