MQ6 LPG Propane Gas Sensor Module The MQ?6 Gas Sensor Module is a low?cost semiconductor gas sensor designed for detecting LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), propane, butane, and other combustible gases in the air. It uses a sensitive tin dioxide (SnO?) sensing element whose electrical resistance decreases in the presence of target gases. The module includes an onboard heater to maintain optimal operating temperature and provides analog output (and often a digital comparator output) for easy interfacing with microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, or Raspberry Pi (with ADC). The MQ?6 module is widely used in safety systems, gas leak detection devices, and embedded projects where basic combustible gas monitoring is needed.Click here to view related productsFeaturesDetects LPG, propane, butane, and other combustible gasesHigh sensitivity to target gasesAnalog output proportional to gas concentrationOften includes digital output with adjustable threshold (potentiometer)Integrated heater for stable operationLow cost and long operational lifeEasy to interface with microcontrollers (ADC required)Compact module suitable for prototyping and embedded systemsApplicationsLPG/propane leak detection in kitchens, homes, and gas storage areasGas leak alarms for safety monitoring systemsPortable gas detector units and handheld safety devicesEnvironmental air quality monitoringIndustrial safety systems for combustible gas detectionSmart home automation systems with gas leak alertsEducational and hobbyist electronics projectsEmbedded systems and IoT applications*Product image for illustration purposes only, actual product may vary.
