MQ3 Alcohol Gas Sensor Module The MQ-3 Alcohol Gas Sensor Module is a semiconductor gas sensor board designed to detect alcohol vapor (ethanol) in the air. It uses a sensitive tin dioxide (SnO?) sensing element whose resistance changes when exposed to alcohol molecules. The module includes an integrated heater to bring the sensing element to its optimal operating temperature, and provides an analog output that varies with alcohol concentration. Many versions of this module also include a digital output with an adjustable threshold for simple gas-presence detection. It’s widely used in DIY projects, safety systems, and applications requiring basic alcohol vapor sensing.Click here to view related productsFeaturesSensitive to alcohol vapor (ethanol)Analog output proportional to gas concentrationOften includes a digital (threshold) output with adjustable sensitivityIntegrated heater for stable operationHigh sensitivity and fast responseEasy to interface with microcontrollers (ADC required)Compact, low-cost module suitable for prototyping and embedded systemsLong service lifeTypical ApplicationsBreath alcohol detectors and alcohol level monitoringSafety systems in vehicles, bars, or public spacesPortable alcohol vapor detection devicesSmart home automation with alcohol/odor alertsEnvironmental air quality sensingEducational and hobbyist electronics projectsEmbedded IoT sensor systemsInteractive installations where alcohol presence needs monitoring*Product image for illustration purposes only, actual product may vary.
