MQ6 LPG Propane Gas SensorThe MQ-6 Gas Sensor is a semiconductor gas sensor designed to detect LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), propane, butane, and other combustible gases in the surrounding air. It uses a tin dioxide (SnO?) sensing element whose electrical resistance changes when exposed to these gases. The sensor requires a heater to reach its optimal operating temperature and provides an analog resistance/voltage output that varies with gas concentration. It’s widely used in basic gas detection systems, safety monitors, and embedded electronic projects.Click here to view related productsFeaturesSensitive to LPG, propane, butane, and other combustible gasesHigh sensitivity to target gasesProvides an analog output corresponding to gas concentrationLong service life and low costRequires a heater for stable operationSimple to interface with microcontrollers (ADC required)Compact sensor suitable for prototyping and embedded designsApplicationsLPG/propane leak detection in kitchens, homes, and gas storage areasGas leak alarm systems and safety monitorsPortable gas detection devicesEnvironmental and air quality sensingIndustrial combustible gas monitoring systemsSmart home automation alerts for gas leaksEducational and hobbyist electronics projectsEmbedded IoT applications*Product image for illustration purposes only, actual product may vary.
